Fastag validity is up to 5 years after purchase. You will have to recharge it by this time. Fastag can also be recharged through NetBaking, Credit / Debit Card, UPI and other ways.

According to Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, if there is no fastag, it will have to pay double toll. However for those vehicles that are not fastagged, there will be a separate lane at the toll plaza.

As a rule, a toll-on scanner will be malfunctioning and the driver will not be responsible if it is unable to scan your fastag. When purchasing Fastag it can be linked to a back account using the MyFastTag app. The user has to enter the Vehicle Registration Number, then the Fastag will be activated. With UPI payment on the app, the user will be able to recharge his fastag.
It can also be purchased from Paytm. Apply for new fastag by uploading vehicle registration number and Vehicle Registration Certificate on Paytm.
