Ahmedabad: The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed the fixation of full pay wages under the 'equal pay for equal work' teachers in Bihar's fixed salary teachers. The same issue has raised about 5 lakh fixed payers of Gujarat for a long time, which is also pending in the court. In these circumstances, there has been speculation about whether the Supreme Court verdict on Bihar will be applicable to the fixed payers of Gujarat. However, considering the early cases of separation of both Bihar and Gujarat, at the initial stage, the negative impact of Bihar's judgment can not affect Gujarat's fixed payers.

What is Bihar's verdict?
The Bihar government went to the Supreme Court after the High Court gave its verdict on equal pay for similar work to teachers of Bihar. Where the apex court has called Bihar's fixed payers an adhoc. These employees were recruited without the declared establishment (government jobs). In addition, they were hired without fixed recruitment process. Equal wages can not be applied to the first days of the job because of the necessary qualifications and procedures as well.

What is the fix of Gujarat model?
In Gujarat, all the fixed payers have been selected on selected places. Their appointment process is also standard and all employees are selected after passing the prescribed examinations with the requisite qualification. Even after five years on the appointment letter, the government has been told to pay the employee according to the standard staff standard. Under these circumstances, the case of Gujarat's fixed payers is stronger than Bihar. On the contrary, after the Supreme Court's ruling on Bihar, the prospects for the same pay-for-pay wages of the people of Gujarat have become more prominent.

Fixes Gujarat model for fix-penny?
Now, talking to the government's perspective, the government has won the Supreme Court's verdict because of the clear distinction between the Bihar government's permanent recruitment process. When Gujarat Government has made significant difference in the wages for five years without making any difference between the permanent and fixed payers in the appointments, recruitment process and operations. Therefore, if the court's verdict in favor of the fixers of Gujarat, in future, then the failure of the Gujarat model of the fixed salary would be considered.
